Important: This Organizer Agreement governs your use of PlugVerse as an event organizer — a person or organization that books artists and/or venues through the platform. By creating bookings on PlugVerse, you agree to these terms in addition to our Terms of Service. Please read this agreement carefully before booking.
An Organizer is any user who initiates a booking request for an artist performance or venue rental on PlugVerse. Organizers include, but are not limited to:
By registering as an Organizer on PlugVerse, you represent that you have the legal authority to enter into binding contracts on behalf of yourself or your organization.
As an Organizer, you are the primary financial party responsible for payment of all agreed artist fees and venue costs associated with your bookings. When a contract is confirmed on PlugVerse, you authorize PlugVerse to charge your payment method for the full contracted amount, which is held in escrow until the performance or event is completed.
PlugVerse charges a platform service fee on each booking. This fee is separate from the artist's performance fee and covers the cost of the booking platform, contract management, payment processing, and customer support. The applicable fee rate is determined by the venue's or organizer's subscription tier:
| Tier | Venue / Organizer Fee | Artist Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | 2.5% of booking value | 1% of booking value |
| Pro | 1% of booking value | 0.5% of booking value |
| Business | 0.25% of booking value | 0.25% of booking value |
Payments are held in escrow by PlugVerse upon booking confirmation. Funds are released to the artist automatically 48 hours after the scheduled performance end time, provided no dispute has been filed. PlugVerse controls escrow timing and release conditions as described in our Terms of Service. You may not instruct PlugVerse to delay or withhold payment outside of the formal dispute process.
If your payment method fails or a chargeback is initiated, PlugVerse reserves the right to cancel the associated booking and suspend your account until the balance is resolved. You are responsible for any fees incurred due to chargebacks or payment disputes initiated in bad faith.
Cancellation policies protect artists and venues from last-minute losses. As an Organizer, you agree to the following cancellation terms:
| Cancellation Timing | Refund Outcome |
|---|---|
| More than 30 days before event | Full refund minus Stripe processing fee (~2.9% + $0.30) |
| 7–30 days before event | 50% refund to organizer; 50% kill fee retained by artist |
| Less than 7 days before event | No refund — artist retains full contracted amount |
| Force majeure (natural disaster, venue closure, etc.) | Full refund to organizer; no fault to either party |
Cancellation requests must be submitted through the PlugVerse platform. Verbal or email cancellations outside the platform do not satisfy cancellation requirements and do not entitle you to a refund.
You, as the Organizer, bear full responsibility for the conduct and safety of your event. PlugVerse is a marketplace platform that facilitates bookings — it is not a co-host, co-promoter, or co-organizer of your event. PlugVerse assumes no liability for what occurs at the event itself.
You agree to:
Fraternity and sorority chapters, and any other organizer hosting events where alcohol may be present or where attendees may include minors, bear sole responsibility for compliance with all applicable alcohol service laws and age-verification requirements. This includes, but is not limited to:
PlugVerse expressly disclaims all liability for alcohol-related incidents, underage drinking, or violations of campus or institutional alcohol policies at events booked through the platform.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PlugVerse and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your event; (b) your breach of this Agreement; (c) your violation of applicable law; or (d) any third-party claim related to your event.
When you book an artist through PlugVerse, a separate Artist-Organizer contract is auto-generated by the platform. That contract governs the specific performance details, payment terms, and cancellation conditions for that booking. This Organizer Agreement sets out your general obligations as a platform user; the individual contract governs the specific engagement.
PlugVerse is not a party to the Artist-Organizer contract. PlugVerse facilitates the creation, signing, and payment of contracts but has no obligation to guarantee the artist's performance or the quality of the event. In the event of a dispute, PlugVerse may mediate but is not obligated to do so.
You should also review the Venue Agreement if you are booking a venue, and the Artist Agreement to understand your obligations to the performing artist.
As an Organizer, you agree not to:
Violations of this section may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of escrowed funds, and potential legal action.
If a dispute arises between you and an artist or venue regarding a booking, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting PlugVerse support at cooper@plugverse.app. PlugVerse may offer non-binding mediation at its discretion.
If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the arbitration provisions in our Terms of Service, which are incorporated herein by reference. You waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PlugVerse's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to your use of the platform as an Organizer shall not exceed the total platform fees paid by you in the three (3) months preceding the claim. PlugVerse is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data.
PlugVerse does not guarantee the performance of any artist booked through the platform. If an artist fails to perform, your remedy is limited to the refund of escrowed funds as set forth in the individual booking contract and PlugVerse's dispute resolution process.
PlugVerse reserves the right to modify this Organizer Agreement at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
PlugVerse may terminate or suspend your Organizer account for violation of this Agreement, our Terms of Service, or any applicable law, with or without prior notice at PlugVerse's sole discretion.
